Heights of bathroom accessories

I read that height for towel bar should be 48" but don't find anything for hand-towel ring and robe holder. Any recommendations?

If you were to install an additional towel bar would installing it above the existing towel holder make it look too odd? What height would the second towel holder be at?

When I installed two towel bars, one above the other, I measured my towels as they would hang over the bar, and placed both bars accordingly.

I placed a robe hook the same way, measured our robes. Actually, I held the robes up against the wall and placed the hook so they didn't drag on the floor.

Like bpath, we installed towel bars/rings at heights that made sense for our family and our belongings.

Where did you get that 48" number? At that height you couldn't do another bar above it ... unless you are all really tall.

Well now if you stop worrying about every little freaking thing, what happens to us??? We're unemployed ;-) I'm trying to picture your layout but honestly it isn't clear to me. Generally I like to see something other than a 50/50 split but there are other things that come into play - how does that 50/50 or 33/66 relate to the finished height of your vanity counters, to the windows (if any) either at sill or apron height. I like continuity, too and like to see some relation to other horizontal lines in a space - expecially a space like a bathroom. But that doesn't mean everything has to end at the same height, just that you need to put those other lines into the thought process so you don't end up with staggered and unrelated horizontal lines all through the space. Question - are you hanging towels out just to be hanging towels out - or will these towels be used? I personally am not one to have towels out - just to be there. Of course we have hand towels available in each bathroom (to be used) and I do have a monogrammed hand towel hanging in one bathroom. Otherwise, towels are out-of-sight. I hope I'm making sense. I wouldn't hang towels out "just for looks". I agree with not matching. Your paint is a lovely color and white towels would be pretty. We have rugs in our bathrooms and as I said, towels (which are used) are out of sight. For us, no white towels because I use as little bleach as possible. I know I'm over explaining! LOL I guess what I'm saying is bring your colors in with other accessories, not towels, etc.

I don't have any pictures of it in our bathroom yet because they are still working on the tile in there so we can't get into it, but here are some pictures of our closet where we also put Taj Mahal so you can see the coloring of it. In looking at the slabs, I found that there can be quite a variance in the coloring, so if you need more than one slab as I did, make sure they are similar, ie, some have more brown, some more gray, some mostly white/oyster, etc.

Thank you a lot! Changing a floor would mean that I also have to change it in the kitchen and hallway, that altogether would become an expensive project. However I will think about it, thank you! 1. Do you think the cabinet should be in the size of a mirror, or it could be wall wide? 2. Would continuing in warmer tones increase bathroom's and living room's disparity? Is it good and right way to continue? Or it's better when the style in the whole flat is same? 3. What do you think about accesories? Which color and type? Can they stay metalic?

Stand up, close your eyes, and reach for a towel. That is how high a towel bar should be for you.

It may look odd to have a towel bar above another towel bar, but then it may not. The second towel bar should be at least half a towel's distance above the lower towel bar.

In anticipation of your next post, paint brush strokes should go in a variety of directions.

They make double towel bars. I used them in my guest bathrooms and our master bath.

We had a two small baths where we hung two double-bars one above the other!

Or you can install a couple of towel hooks right next to the towel bar...
