Our first daylily

We had our first daylily bloom. It is not in the greenhouse. This is H. minor. Last year its scapes got frosted, and this year some got frosted but others survived.

While we are waiting for the other daylilies (no scapes yet except on dumortieri), we can enjoy some iris.

This is Cricket Song, a miniature tall bearded iris. ('miniature' and 'tall' seem like a contradiction in terms to me)

I don't know the name of this one. It is similar to Batik, but I don't think it is. We had Batik, but I think it died. Bob bought a couple of striped ones from the hybridizer (whose name he doesn't remember) several years ago. It has small foliage and is not very tall.

These next two are dwarf bearded iris. They are similar and at first Bob thought we got two of the same one.

Peppito

Notation

The Arizona rainbow cactus is blooming. This flower is four inches across.

I don't know the name of this cactus. I like the color of the flower better than the previous one, but they aren't as large.

That's all for me.
