Quartz Counter Color Variation
Comments (21)Contractor has said he will fix it. However, he wants us to choose another color for the top. He thinks if they re-cut (since they don't make the slab large enough) the same thing is going to happen since the seam is 54" long and they will have to use two slabs. He's recommending quartzite or granite that they can cut from a single slab. Does this seem normal? Or should he have to use what we originally chose until they get it right?...See MoreKitchen Counter Top Overhang
Comments (11)Lowes contractors are hit and miss. Call the manager of the department and have them come out to look at the work. Explain that it is unacceptable. and needs to be redone correctly. A few years ago we had similar problem with carpet wood floor installers from our local Lowes. After the manager saw the quality of installation they were removed from our project and we were supplied with a new contractor that did a wonderful job. Not sure I would ever use one of their contractors again even though the second one did a professional job. I think Lowes has a satisfaction guarantee. Good luck....See MoreGranite counter overhang Variation
Comments (3)Would you even notice this if you weren't going around with a tape measure? I'm pretty neurotic about finish details, but that wouldn't bother me. What bothers me is when you can see things like door jambs that don't have a uniform reveal and it jumps out. Your situation will not catch the eye unless you have had too many glasses of wine and are on your back on the floor comparing the undersides of the cabinet overhangs....See MoreIs this acceptable in a quartz countertop?
Comments (6)Thank you Oldryder! I'm not sure I will have the ability see other slabs of this as much as I'd like to. I'm out in the boonies quite a ways. Perhaps I should do a call out to other Rococo owners on here. They could not get the lines off with cleaning so they are checking with the manufacturer to see what they say about them. They've been responsive so I'm hopeful it will be resolved. I did have to pay in full because I went through Home Depot. I have not had to involve them yet but will if I have to. I do like this quartz and if we can resolve this to my satisfaction will probably use it on my back counters as well when those cabinets are in. Hopefully the desire for future business will compel them as well. The am fine with the size variation. I'm pretty sure its something I'd quit thinking about quickly and not expect anyone to notice. **I've tried to delete this twice since realizing it double posted. I apologize if anyone is seeing it twice! Not sure what to do now, I don't want to delete anyone's responses.**...See MoreSeymey
