Pls help: need design help for backsplash
Comments (6)What if you ran each band halfway between counter and window (or counter and wall cab) and then bumped up behind the range and between the windows? The band would always be halfway between the counter and the object on the wall. I think it would be more interesting than completely straight lines. If you do it too low, it risks being hidden by anything on the counter. Too high and there is shadow from the cabinets....See MorePlease, I need help to design my terrace! What is the best design?
Comments (0)I really would love to renew my terrace (in a cheap way if possible) ! Could you help me? The surface is a perfect square and it's pretty ample and spacious. What do you suggest me to do? What kind of furniture and plants should I use? I have different pallets boards and also cinder blocks. A new design is absolutly welcome!...See MoreHelp! Comments (7)If and when you do purchase a new rug, please go for a much larger size, so that all your furniture is sitting on it. That instantly makes your room look larger and more comfortable. A large floral pattern actually looks great with your furniture. The size of your chairs is perfect with your couch, and I'm afraid a recliner might be too large and bulky. The best option might be to recover the chair in navy and find a larger rug. I hope you'll consider a large floral pattern and darker colors again because that works well with your floor and showcases your beautiful couch and the yellow pillows....See MoreHelp! Please help me design the front of this house
Comments (23)Hi Simplynatural, You brought up a good point that I didn't think of (thank you!). The side of the house has the original red brick (see photo below). The back and right sides of the house are white siding, matching the front of the house. I would rather not paint the brick but will if needed. Is there a paint colour that we could paint the siding that would work with both the bricks and the stones? I'm not sure. I really like your ideas of the black door, the symmetrical lights on either side, the long roof over the garage, and the symmetrical porch (without the extension towards to the garage). So if we kept the porch centered and extended the roof over the garage would it be strange to also have steps leading to the right, so towards the garage in addition the the ones centered to the front? I'm thinking that if we needed to go to the garage and it is raining it would be better. I attached a better image of the full view of the house. On the right side of the house is a path that we use to have access to the backyard and the third post in your plan (all white) would end up at the corner where the bins are currently placed; they can be easily moved. Thanks again for all your fantastic ideas! Please let me know if you have any other comments. I really appreciate your thoughts....See MoreShannon Jacobson
