I am just a homeowner who knows NOTHING about HVAC, so I'm afraid I have no idea what tone system or furnace size. I even looked on the furnace - and looked through the manual and can't see the information. I will say that the manual seems to cover several models - I have no idea which mine is - and even if I did, I dont' see where it lists # tons of the system - and don't know how to determine if th extra restriction will restrict flow or not? This is somewhat Greek to me but since I was online looking to order replacement filters (and my husband and i are highly allergic/sensitive to dust and allergens), I thought I'd consider this upgrade to MERV 13 - if it in fact would help air quality (not that I think our air qualtiy is bad - in fact I suspect we have a relativeliy low-dust house). I wouldn't have a clue how to determine if this extra filtraiton would restrict flow. Unfortunately, I don't like our current HVAC people and haven't found their advice to be worth much (looking for someone new). The father and son company who installed the system 12 years ago went out of business and I can't find them- so I can't ask them. Any ideas how I can get this information? Thank you. Lynn.

Commission check sounds nice! Yes, we looked at the glass garage doors. As with probably 95% of the people building out there, we cant get everything so we have to choose what we really want and what we can do without. I think its different for everyone. I did like the glass doors but because we don't really have any street presence, it was one of the first things to go when we needed to cut some to meet the budget. We also had two bump outs, which were to be clad in some kind of special plywood. Those were pulled in and the house shrunk 6 feet in width which reduced square footage by 10% and eliminated two flat roof sections. I was sad about it but you can only do so much. It got us closer to budget, supposedly. We are in WA. The glass garage door company here is Northwest Door.

I keep my FP in my house and have had it precititate. My lowest temp might have been 55F. Somewhat related question-- I am now using Peter's HP. Have mixed up a few batches, and it's always been the same 'color'. Last one I made was a different shade of blue. Not darker, just different, and I'm sure I mixed it right. I believe checking the EC would tell me the concentration, but I don't have a meter. Just wondering if the differing color is a known issue with this product. I am storing a portion (of the dry mix) in the house in a plastic tub, and the rest is in the garage. Also, does anyone know if prilled ferts that have been stored for years outside ( dry but hot) are still good?

My laptop is from 2019, and today it prompted me to complete the installation of Windows 11, and so I did, but I don't notice much difference, except that the icons that used to be at the bottom left are no centered at the bottom, and I liked the old position better. I read that 11 is supposed to be more efficient, and so I will see eventually, perhaps. If your processor is new enough, you should be able to upgrade. My desktop is too old, and I don't remember when I bought that, but I am pretty sure it was not later than 2012 and it is possibly from 2005 or 2007. If I have to replace it, I will keep it for work offline, as there are some programs on it that I need to continue using.
