Comments (14)Karalouise, The white perimeter cabinets will have Zodiaq Eclipse Blue countertops and the island will have Venezian granite in Polo, which is a white/gold/grey granite that has a brushed finish and a natural edge. I fell in love with the textured feel of it -- the fact that it's textured makes it very different and not something I'll see in everyone else's kitchen. I'm not fond of shiny, so that was appealing. It's a quiet pattern -- we're using granites with more movement in the bathrooms! At this point we're thinking the backsplash will be Oceanside Glasstile Geologie. We really like the little sample of Silver Peak but larger areas look more splotchy than my taste. So I think it will be Rocky Mountain instead. Pulls and knobs will be pewter. Sink: Silgranit Anthracite, but I'm not sure which one yet. Floor is grey ceramic tile. The whole look will be blues and greys with the white/pewter cabinets. There's quite a bit of natural light so I don't think it will come off as cavelike. I took a picture of my little sample of the island granite but no matter how I held it, the texture doesn't show up! The cabinet door is in the background. Arlene...See MoreOpinions on my kitchen
Comments (51)Omgosh! Those links are great...the iittala collection is wonderful. I like all dishware that has color...almost too beautiful for everyday use (it would be guests for me too). All of the pillow/bedding designs have a very familiar feel to me, as if I've seen them before. Could be last time I visited Finland. Thank you for sharing! I saw some Kalevala I may have to spring for. :-)...See Morehelp choosing SPC vinyl planks
Comments (2)I'm curious about the InHaus Sono product as well...we wanted Coretec but I'm curious about the InHaus Sono with the ceramic core. We have a lot of sun coming through the back of our house and we don't want a floor that fades or shifts in the heat. We frequently have hurricanes as well and end up with the power out and tons of heat and humidity in the house. Three kids and three dogs take a toll, too. If anyone has other suggestions on this post I'd love to hear them and photos are great, too!...See MoreInhaus Sono Flooring
Comments (186)We have SONO Pacific Beach throughout our entire home (over 2100 sq ft) It was installed in 2018. This is a summer home that has been used maybe 5-7 weekends a year up until last June when we moved in full time. It is only my husband and myself and an occasional visit from kids/grandkids. The entire floor is failing. The short ends of the boards are all lifting and gapping, and we have two boards with ends that have completely broken off. Inhaus is refusing to warranty this, other than providing a direct product swap (no install) or a reimbursement for the WHOLESALE price that they sold it to the distributor for. The distributor has dropped their entire line and does not carry it anymore, so Inhaus is saying they are not responsible for that portion of the warranty. Why is this in any way my problem? It is a MANUFACTURER'S defect, the distributor and installer should not have any part of this transaction. When a company warranties a product, that warranty should include removal and replacement. Looking for advice from anyone else out there who is in this position. I think there should be a full reimbursement by Inhaus... maybe a class action lawsuit is in order? Anyone else reached out for legal advice on this? I would like to add... this floor is extremely hard to keep clean. I have to wash three times (three times in a row) in order to get the mop and water to come up clean. I have never had any issues with stone/wood floors before... Just this man-made garbage. Travertine and hardwood don't offgas either... Stick with what is natural. It costs more, but it is worth it in the end, finacially and for the sake of you and your family's health....See MoreDanny Kerner
