Change of pace: paint scheme for old gas station
Comments (19)Nice logo! A building is a great way to further the marketing of a business, an opportunity you don't want to miss if you want the name of your business to pop into someones head when they pass by. In essence it's a huge billboard, and you're on track to take advantage of that by "branding" it to the colors you use on your business logo; but subtle rarely works so your instincts about creating more contrast with "medium grey body color, black band around the top, gold accent below the black" are right. Also get bold about how you use color, like painting the entire ceiling of the pump area in the gold tone and the area above black to outline it. Your logo is very tasteful, be generous about including on doors or windows and if you have a large open space. like the side of the building size it up to fill the space....See MoreBuying Home opposite upcoming gas station
Comments (24)I , like many , have found that living near or next to gas stations is more delightful than living next to annoying , nosy neighbors who sometimes do not keep their houses, yards tidy . I’d take a gas station as a neighbor instead of a nosy , town gossip annoying neighbor in a heartbeat ! Most gas stations with convenience stores are in fact that . Convenient! When they don’t have mechanic garages attached & lots don’t , there is no noise ! And of you must wait 30 extra seconds to be able to pull out of your driveway , so what ?! That will happen no matter where you live ! And if you live on a boring , quiet street , you May be able to pull right out w/out waiting ... but once you reach a main st/rd & you will , you must wait to pull out there as well ! Some people are too much . Some smoke , drink , sit in traffic & breath in fumes daily , yet when it comes to a gas station they say I would never live near one haha ! Listen folks , no one lives forever , no one ! And there will always be something to bitch about & ppl will never stop being negative . Why not live in a plastic bubble ? And guess what ?? One day , some day something will take your life . We are just passing thru this short time on earth . Stop being scared to live While here ! Also , one can eat healthy , exercise , not drink or smoke & get sick from genetics . I’ll say this as well as my neighbors. During electrical outages , hurricanes etc ... a few steps to a gas station to get fuel for a generator is wonderful ! And when you are friendky to them , they are happy to help ! So those of you who THINK it’s such a hazard have no idea that there are strict codes preventing underground double line fuel line leaks . Walking ariund NYC is more of a health hazard that a fuel station . Educate yourselves people before throwing nonsense comments out there . Meanwhile over half the nation is obese & cell phones that we use every day cause cancer , but stay away from fuel stations hahahaha! Oh , and as far as kids living near a gas station ? Keep letting them use cell phones daily . It will make them sick way faster than anything ! Peace ....See MoreLimonium perezii. At a gas station.

Comments (29)I mentioned something earlier that didn't seem to be noticed so I'd like to mention it with more details. There is a specification for gasoline that's called Top Tier. What it is is simple - it's a formula of detergents and additives that are put into gasoline (with no pollution consequences pro or con) that prevent carbon and other deposits to allow the engine to run at its peak efficiency. Gasoline without these additives causes the build up of various deposits that can lead to premature problems and lower fuel economy. Many of the discount gas brands are NOT Top Tier gas - especially from grocery chains - and using such brands consistently can lead to problems and lower gas mileage along the way. Some, like Costco, do use the Top Tier additive package. If you're concerned about saving money, be sure to drive a car that isn't bigger than your needs require, that gets good mileage and that you keep well maintained. And use Top Tier gas. These steps will save you far more money than worrying about whether you've gotten the lowest possible price for gas, which may result in your buying an inferior product that could cost you more in the long run. We own three cars and all are makes that suggest using only Top Tier gas, so that's all we buy. Top Tier-selling stations are all over so it doesn't take an effort to restrict purchases to just this type of gas. Here's a listing of gas retailers that sell Top Tier gas Top Tier Gas retailers Here's an article describing it: Top Tier gas...See Morelucillle
