This busy family of 5 were quickly outgrowing their small 1800 sq ft. older home. Faced with the decision to move or expand they decided to expand and stay in the neighborhood that they loved. They decided to add on 1200 sq ft which meant - a new kitchen, a family room with deck, a mud room and updated bathroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms, ensuite bathroom and large storage area on the lower level. The design and structural decisions were made in collaboration with the contractor and homeowner. Welcome Home designs assisted these homeowners in choosing interior finishes such as flooring, tiles, cabinets and wall colours. We also helped the homeowners pick out exterior paint colours, exterior rockery and lighting.
Now that the project is complete and this busy family has moved in it is a satisfying feeling to see how every decision made resulted in a beautiful and comfortable "new home".
