This family was tired of the 80's look in their basement. They were looking for a more functional space. We removed the bar area and transformed this corner into a computer/work station. The beautiful armoire was refinished and the inside was refitted to hold the computer.
The other problem was that this family found the family room cold and uninviting. Part of the problem was the fireplace had been painted white with random grey bricks. It was decided to bring back the "brick look" with a faux finish application. After a new mantel was added, the "new" fireplace helped transform this basement family room into a cozy and inviting space. It has now become the favourite room in this family's home.
