Modern almost farmhouse feel with natural materials and comfortable textures. New home entirely designed by Maraya Interior Design and Tim Droney, Contractor, including all architecture and interiors. Natural oak plank floors, walnut doors and cabinets, and naturally rusted beams give interest and warmth. We used quartzite counters in the kitchen, along with black granite, honed. The living room fireplace has limestone cut and selected from France. Behind the live edge wood table is a walnut credenza with copper stained bamboo wallpaper, on which is one of Maraya's several paintings in the home.
All of the windows are floor to ceiling, at 11 feet. The best views are really from the bedrooms- looking north into the mountains and wildlife.
Maraya grew up in a cold modern home in Malibu, this is our answer to the warmth! Very inviting home with deep colors, a few antiques and lots of creativity.
