Staron in the colour "Fog" was chosen for the desk because it is smooth, warmer to touch than stone, so comfortable to work at on cold days and very durable.
The reverse bevel edge on the desk repeats the anglular shape of the desk which is cantilevered into the bay window.
Plenty of storage has been incorporated into the entire home office with open shelving for reference books and paperbacks, near the desk and closed cabinetry for files and household overflow storage behind the desk.
Laminex "Absolute Matt "was chosen for the cabinetry for it's clean, matt finish.
