Heather Lane

The Heather Lane was a kitchen remodeling project in the Key Biscayne Island near Miami-FL. The clients expressed a dislike for the original kitchen layout and aesthetics as the kitchen was dark and the materials appeared dated. Building Center No.3 studied an efficient layout for the room and opened up one of the kitchen walls to allow more natural light into the space. Recessed lighting was added to the ceiling plan to bring in enough illumination throughout the room. The new Kitchen aesthetics expresses a rustic contemporary style as desired by the clients. The designed white cabinets assist in keeping the brightness of the room and the gray accents on the countertops and backsplash give the room just enough contrast to keep it interesting. Wooden stools bring in the rustic feel that resembles the theme throughout the remaining rooms of the house.
