Our Oakland studio gave this cozy home a stunning makeover by maximizing space in the basement area and adding fun colors, patterns, and prints. We dug the basement to add more space and create height in spaces that felt cramped. We used the client's heirloom quilt as an inspiration to plan the color scheme throughout the home. We painted the living room a beautiful teal with gold accents that add a hint of elegance. We repeated the same color theme in the principal bedroom but with different shades to create a soothing effect. The kid's bedroom got a functional upgrade with built-in storage and a study desk. The client loves to bake and wanted a kitchen layout that was practical and pretty. As a solution, we added a large kitchen island with cascading countertops, and our client couldn't be happier!
