I am so thankful to have been recommended to Steel Roots. Christy offers a range of resources and services. We are in the midst of working on window treatments, outdoor furnishings and furniture needs for our new home. I love that she has such great ideas and that she works with our needs and preferences. Additionally, she is friendly and welcoming. Her shop offers an opportunity to experience styles and samples. I am looking forward to working with her on future projects.

Christy is a perfect combination of talent, energy and caring. She was helpful in planning how to retrofit furniture into a new home with very different floor plan than the other and then - when we were ready she spent so much time helping to pick out pieces for our living room; making sure they were not only attractive but comfortable and practical. We moved from Phoenix, bought a 6500 SF home and needed help! Very little of our S/W decor works here in the east. Christy to the rescue! She is easy to work with; is VERY conscientious about your budget; has a variety of manufacturers to choose from; and has a high level of integrity. She guides you in where best to spend your precious dollars, and does NOT push anything on you. It's not her fault that we sat on one bar stool that was $200, but fell in love with & had to have the $500 ones! That's OK, because we were able to get a kitchen table & chairs to offset the expensive stools. There's more to do & Christy hasn't left us. My photos are awful, but the house looks amazing! I highly recommend Christy. She is a real pleasure to work with. She has vast experience in different styles of design and came up with so many beautiful ideas for our rooms. We are thrilled with our finished spaces and thank her for our awesome looking rooms. She also worked within our budget going out of her way to find accent pieces that worked without going over budget.

Christy recently designed my family room and it’s absolutely amazing! It is functional, comfortable and absolutely beautiful. She was professional, fun to work with and literally thought of everything. I can’t wait to see more of her amazing talent in my other rooms!

We hired Christy 4 months ago with plans to spruce up our 34 year old house we have been living in for 18 years. Things were looking worn and boring. The only new thing we did in the house was renovate the kitchen and master bath. Everything else is 34 years old. Christy came to see what our future plans were for making things new and she blew us away with what she was able to do with the old. I left for cancer treatment for one night and she had given my powder room a facelift overnight. Simply with paint, new towels and some decorations. She moved things and placed them in a way that made it feel open and airy. We were blown away. I had my daughters 8x10 school pictures displayed in one place of our house were I thought people would see them all the time and she literally moved them to another part of the house and people thought they were new! Even though they were in the same spot year after year for 6 years. Well we were sold on her talent right away and recently hired her again for our dining room. Once again her vision totally shocked us. Her insightfulness for our style was impressive as she picked the paint color and the furniture to match without having to be in and out of my house. She did it all from her office. She was confident and reassured us that all would be great in the end. It's always a little scary making larger purchases all at once and Christy was patient and very thoughtful in understanding that. She was not only able to make my dream room but she was also able to find items that I liked to have money left over in the budget to get the things I didn't want to spend money on to complete the project to make it perfect. Every time she leaves our house we feel like one of those house makeover shows without breaking the bank. We are super excited and can't wait for her to do the rest of our house.

Christy O'Hara has a great eye. She is really skilled at reflecting the owner's taste and sourcing gorgeous, functional, items that are in budget! You don't have to be rich or spend a fortune to have a welcoming and beautiful home. Christy can make even the most modest room come alive. I highly recommend her for projects large and small and will continue to use her as I remodel and redecorate.
