Melissa is wonderful to work with. She came to my home and assessed my style and made some great recommendations. I asked her to go shopping for me to get some of the items I still needed to round out the house. She came back with loads of artwork and vases etc that were my taste and fit in the spaces I needed or we found a place for them. She even hung everything up. It was so nice to have her do it all. I definitely recommend her services. I still need a little more help and have already booked my next meeting with her!

Melissa is wonderful and we would highly recommend her services. She spent about an hour and a half at our house, getting to know us and our style. In about a week, she created Pinterest boards for our family room and living room, and then did some additional work based on our feedback. Her suggestions were outstanding. Many were ones we never would have thought to pick out on our own, but were things that we just loved. She is just the push we needed to decorate our living room that has been standing mostly empty for two years.

I am so glad that I found this company to help me with design choices. We bought a new home last year and I was overwhelmed trying to make decisions about our living room/kitchen decor. I do not have that design eye so I felt paralyzed with what to do. Well enter Spendalla and now I have a kid functional living room and we are continuing additional house projects with them. I feel at ease working with Melissa because she has gotten to know my family's design needs but is always trying to make things kid friendly as well. I have used her for paint colors, to pick out/buy living room furniture, lighting, cabinetry and artwork. Its a much less painless process for me now. I highly recommend her.

As Melissa's friend and neighbor, I've been a lucky recipient of Melissa's home decorating advice for years. It's been a hobby of hers for a while now - you may be familiar with Melissa's work from her blog HOUSEography (http://www.HOUSEography.net). Melissa will use what you have in your home and help you supplement with accessories, window treatments, and furniture. And, Melissa does a great job of recognizing your taste and style and helping you figure out how to pull it all together. As part of the new service, she'll shop with you or for you at big box stores such as Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and HomeGoods! (Melissa is particularly masterful at finding bargains.) She can help you make design decisions in your renovation (pick tile, flooring, lighting, bathroom & kitchen fixtures, fireplace design,etc.). She will also stage your home to sell. Melissa works on a flat hourly rate, so there's no pressure to spend more than you want to. Melissa recently styled bookshelves in my master bedroom (amazing finishing touch) and is currently helping with a living room redesign project. I highly recommend Spendalla Home Styling!

Melissa did a fantastic job on my powder room. She took all of my "wants" and turned it into a beautiful room --- at minimal cost! She even used some things I already owned. I could hardly believe the transformation! She was a joy to work with and I recommend her highly.

We contacted Melissa from Spendalla to see if she could give us some ideas on decorating our walls. We recently had our kitchen remodeled, and most of our 1st floor repainted, and we didn’t want to hang up the artwork we had from before, some of going back to our college days. Melissa was fabulous! She provided some great ideas and suggestions without imposing her personal taste and style. She understood our budget and did not push for anything outside of it, gave us great suggestions of places to splurge and where to save. Even more importantly, she was professional and easy to chat with, with a great sense of style In the end, we took her ideas to heart and are now shopping around for pieces. She did offer to assist, even hosting a Pinterest site for us and taking us shopping, but we thought she provided enough ideas that felt comfortable getting pieces on our own. We will definitely use her again to help decorate our bookshelves around our fireplace, as well as bring her back in for suggestions and ideas when we take on other major projects to our home.
