I recommend Stephen and his services. I was working on a small project at my home and one of the local architect firms gave me Stephen's contact information. I called him "out of the blue" and he took the time to look at my project and offered information around design and structural concerns that helped define my path forward. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to and provided the information that I needed to keep my project on track. Highly recommend.

Stephen is extremely conscientious and dependable. We have worked on a few renovation/addition projects together, one of which was a carport and breezeway design. Our clients loved the designs he presented. He is a great listener, very patient and an overall great guy!

My daughter and I used Stephen and Ralph to design our 3200 sq. ft. dream... A Barn Wedding and Event Venue. We came to Stephen and Ralph with a vision and very little knowledge of how things work in the world of construction and design and couldn't possibly be any happier with their service. Both are very knowledgeable, extremely patient and produced exactly what we envisioned in a very timely manner. We absolutely could not have gotten through such an enormous project without them and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Stephen and Ralph!

Stephen and Ralph are an absolute blessing. They made this whole scary process very easy. They have always been available to us and they were very reasonably priced. We would recommend them to anybody starting a project for the first time.

Stephen is an excellent designer to work with when renovating your home. He is thoughtful in his work and presents many alternatives for the homeowner. He is receptive to input and ideas from the homeowner and will work with you to adjust the scope of work if your project plans evolve over time. Shales Design Services was recommended to me by a real estate developer. Stephen designed a remodel of a 100 year old commercial building. He was very easy to work with and offered several options, I am very pleased with his final design and I would use him again.
