It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Isn't it January?
Comments (3)Lovely little piece of Kansas you've got there, Larissa! We've got about 5 times that amount of snow... and yesterday was so cold that I tried to shovel the sidewalk, and gave up after about 10 feet, or so! I headed for the warmth of the house so my ears and face could thaw out! We were below zero... WITHOUT the windchill! It was so cold yesterday, that the dogs were limping on three legs after being out long enough to relieve themselves! Frostbitten pads on paws are a real danger in this kind of weather! I spent all day, and half of the night, rearranging the Jungle and doing some deep cleaning... sucking up cobwebs and furballs, washing windows and dusting... it's amazing what you can get done when your husband isn't underfoot! :-)...See Moremy mouse isn't working
Comments (10)You probably need to push the reset button. That makes it look for the signal. Some have a little tab inside the battery compartment, with a divot you can push with a pen (though you can probably just use your finger). If there's a receiver, rather than just a little USB tab, there may also be a reset button on the receiver. If that isn't the issue, it may help to reboot so that the computer reinitializes with the mouse on. Trying a different slot was a good suggestion too, for forcing a reinitialization. Did you check the power level in the new batteries? Could it be low enough to turn on the lights but not run the mouse? Is there crud on the lens (optical) or ball (mechanical)? Did you check to see that the batteries are making good contact? I turn them in place sometimes to make it better. If all of that fails, check the manual. :) If you don't have it, check for a PDF on the Logitech site....See MoreWhy isn’t my ice maker working?
Comments (9)This is French door model with ice dispensing in the fresh food door, yes? The ice maker is in a separate small "ice freezing room" inside the fresh food compartment. It has a separate cooling coil to maintain freezing temperature discrete from the rest of the fresh food section. The heating element in there is to self-defrost that cooling coil. Nothing to do with harvesting the ice. The refrigerator's main control board operates the ice maker. It monitors the mold thermistor temperature which drops at a slower rate until the water freezes, then drops faster. Harvest triggers 1) after a rapid drop of 13°F from freezing (presumably to approx 19°F), or 2) when the thermistor specifically reads 11°F. The drive motor rotates the mold CCW. A back corner of the mold hits a stop on the ice maker housing while the motor continues to turn the front, which flexes the tray to release the cubes. A tab on the drive gear then hits a switch which reverses the motor CW to return it to normal position for another freeze cycle....See MoreWhy isn’t my house selling? Need feedback!
Comments (35)As a retired appraiser, you need to erect a wall between the bath and the bedroom. They need to be separate rooms. The market demands this. This is why it is not selling and it is why you are not getting a lot of appointments to view. Take it off the market. Find a contractor to put up a stud wall with door, drywall and paint both rooms. You will want to tile the bathroom floor. There was a period when baths were carpeted, but that time has passed and bathroom floors are typically hard, waterproof surfaces. The contractor should be able to save the carpet in the bedroom by pulling it away from the construction area and covering it. Relist the house with a notation that it was removed from the market in order to update the master bath and that renovations were completed. All of the other items in the house are fine. As long as the house is clean, in good repair and has no other obvious maintenance issues, and is priced according to the comparable sales, it should be fine. It appears to be in good repair. Your other choice is to lower the price until you find someone willing to do this work and willing to buy it this way....See MoreJeannie Nguyen
