frank's first mom occasionally stops by for a couple of hours on her travels to dog shows and grooming competitions. it's always a fun day when we release all the hounds for a social gathering.

Back in September 2011, Nita Foster and I took a road trip to visit 7 members of The Meeting House in 7 days. Nita used to do these trips all the time and I invited her to come to my house and we made plans to visit a different member each day. It was a lot of fun putting faces to names of friends we'd never met. I found a garden gnome along the way to accompany us and when we got to Donna Canfield's place in Missouri, the gnome gained a girlfriend. Donna had a thrift store so of course I had to go shopping and I bought a few things, including the girlfriend. I love her fancy outfit and the colors go with my colors in the second bedroom. It's silly, I know, but it's a wonderful reminder of a very fun trip.
