Comments (5)Thank you so much for the heads up....If I had missed it, I would not be a happy camper...Sunday night should be interesting....The only 2 things I watch is Survivor and Desperate Housewives and to have them both on the same night would be great.....Just so they don't mess up and put them against each other........See MoreIs this schedule realistic?
Comments (11)things to check on: there are new rules on demo in some states. in CA you cannot just demo without testing for lead and doing abatement if it tests positive. check on this now so you fully understand the scope of what you need to do. not sure how old your building is. is there risk of discovery of dry rot and termites? that could add time to fix unplanned repairs. keep in mind if 1 vendor misses their schedule or a worker calls in sick and you are scheduled too tightly you could have a domino effect of delays. keep a bit of flexibility in your schedule to allow for the inevitable surprises and random delays like sick days. this sounds like a small job for these vendors so you may get bumped around a bit and will need to be able to accomodate for this. re: hardwood, make sure to have the vendor deliver the wood early so it is on site in advance and can acclimate to the conditions of the site, otherwise that time does not seem sufficient. you are coming up on summer when workers take time off- you may be crossing memorial day, 4th of july and labor day and into thanksgiving depending on length of your project and start date. check on this as well. is this going to be a permitted job? allow time for inspections between tasks. do you need to add any insulation? add time for a vendor to do this as well. where is your priming and painting of walls before the cabinets are installed - add to schedule. any need to move any HVAC venting? hope this helps....See MoreHelp employer changing group health insurance Oct. 1st
Comments (21)I appreciate all of your responses and am following your suggestions. I called the HR person Monday morning and she said she would see what she could find out and call me back on Tuesday. I had a cortisone injection in my knee on Sept.2nd and it did not help at all. The new coverage starts on Oct. 1st and I really resent the fact that the company did not let us know they were looking at changing companies. I work the overnight shift and haven't been able to sleep for stressing over this. Again thank you all for your help. Marcia...See MoreSurvivor tonight 12/4
Comments (24)"I would rather have seen Noura go after that very strange tribal council." Noura really seems certifiable. Even before tribal council, when she was trying to convince Dean (?) to split the vote, and she couldn't understand that all four of them (the ones who didn't get the loved ones reward) needed to cast their votes on the same person. They even showed her with leaves spread out on the beach, to represent everyone, trying to figure out the votes! But Dean started it all at tribal, when he leaned over to Tommy and told him that he was on the chopping block. Why did he do that? He seemed genuinely irritated that he didn't get picked for the reward. But, yeah, after the way Noura spouted off at tribal, I was really hoping that everyone would say to themselves, "ok, we can get rid of Karishma next week, but Noura's got to go now." I agree with Share_Oh that the group shouldn't be allowed to move around to talk amongst themselves so much. Whispering to the person next to you is one thing, but getting up and walking around shouldn't be allowed. They should have their strategy worked out before they walk in....See More- 14 days ago
