You are so wonderfully supportiveb. Now I'm feeling *embarrassed* because there is some good news. Maybe this is a normal up and down nature of the decline? Anyway, less 'dire' for the moment and I wanted to let you know.

The third-ditch Kyprolis plan has made a small dent against the MM. Lab numbers ticked up a bit after just the first three weeks. (Next round Feb. 6.)

Pain in back/pelvis and ribs is better with a 72-hour Fenytnyl patch. I supplement with Dilaudid 4MG. Five days of Dex (steroid) helped; over now.

Can't use Lorazapam for shortness of breath panic overnigh. It could halt breathing. Coping with Albuterol.

Back to looking for long-term arrangements.

I'm so thankful for your kindness and concern.

In general, I don't like condiments that are sweet, and that includes ketchup, although I use it on a rare occasion. I especially dislike sweet mustards (although I love all other mustards) and I also dislike sweet pickles and sweet BBQ sauce. Don't like Miracle Whip either. What I do like: tangy mustards, Thai curry paste, wasabi, horseradish, chili sauce (without tomato), Mexican salsas (red and green), and most complex spice mixes that are not sweet. I generally omit cinnamon and nutmeg in spice mixes, or else greatly reduce the amount of those spices, which is one reason I make my own Thai curry paste - and omit the cinnamon altogether. I like all vinegars, even the sweet Balsamic ones, and so there is a bit of a contradiction there. Sweet is okay if it is balanced with sour, but I tend to prefer tart, bitter, and spicy. It takes me over a year to go through a 5 pound bag of sugar, and I tend to use that up mostly at Christmas time. I like fruits for desserts, and I use preserves on occasion, but not on a regular basis. I do make my own fig preserves and give most of it away. The only chocolate I eat is bittersweet, but then I can't eat milk chocolate anyway. Lars

angelheart7 has a point. We try to describe it in a hundred different ways. Your level of confidence, if you are assertive or go for what you want in life (which was mentioned about nice guys not being aggresive) as well as being TOO aggresive (which someone else mentioned and felt it was a catch22) But, it's really not. The extreme of either is going to be less attractive, and as angelheart7 pointed out, it really does have more to do with that positive energy that you give out that other people can sense. It's not just about women/men relationships either. It's something that any other human can sense about you. Some people call it karma, some call it self fulfilling prophesies, auras, and who knows what else. The reason people say go exercise, is because this tends to increase confidence and energy which means you start acting differently. You walk around feeling good about yourself, looking cheerful and happy which then makes you a more positive person for people to want to be around. It doesn't have to be exercise, it could be any hobby or activity that makes you feel good about life. A few people have made really good points as well in regards to what it means to be a "nice guy". There's a difference between a guy who is nice, respectful, with a lively personality, a love for life, motivation and inspiration.. and a guy who is a rug and will let the girl he is interested in step all over him because he's "nice" and doesn't want to rock the boat. Girls DO like nice guys, but they don't like rugs. I don't know and of you guys who posted personally, so i can't give any specific insight as to why one guy in particular is coming across wrong to women or why they are not interested. It is much much more complicated than simply being "nice" or "not nice". There are so many different definitions of what it means to be nice. And it still depends on what girls you are aiming at as well. What it is they are looking for in a partner, and the body language signals you are giving in return. Maybe being nice is your best quality? Who knows! fyi as an interesting side note, they've done scientific research as well that shows women are attracted to more "cave man" types which are the rugged square faced guys (bad boys) when they are more likely to get pregnant, and attracted to guys with softer more feminine features otherwise. (guys who are more likely to stick around and raise the kids theory). So, it's true there is a lot of chemical stuff going on between men and women as well that we are usually unaware of. More than we realize.

I donÃ¢ÂÂt think just because your DHÃ¢ÂÂs children donÃ¢ÂÂt want to see him that that is making your DH want your children Ã¢ÂÂout of the picture.Ã¢ÂÂ I donÃ¢ÂÂt see how the two issues are related. Your son is an adult. The only reason an adult child should still be living with their parents is due to financial hardship. And that situation should be temporary, not an indefinite amount of time. Just based on what information you gave, I donÃ¢ÂÂt see how your husband is trying to divide you from your children. You feel your DH is trying to tear you apart from your children, but could it be your DHÃ¢ÂÂs issue is that your grown son is still living in the home? And what does DH's ex affair have to do with anything? Have you sat down with DH and told him your concerns?

No, the difference b/w a prep sink and a bar sink is not location, the difference is size. Bar sinks are usually shallow, small sinks - sometimes as small as 9" or 10" wide and only 6" or 7" deep. Prep sinks, OTOH, are deeper and wider. They should be at least 15" wide - interior width, not overall width, and as deep as a larger sink - 8" to 10" or more (bottom of sink to top of counter). Mine is 15-3/4" square and 10" deep. Prep sinks should require at least an 18" sink base (for the sink to be big enough), and even better would be a 21" or 24" sink base. Bar sinks don't have to be that big b/c they're primarily used for filling/emptying/rinsing glasses and the like. Prep sinks need to be bigger b/c you're prepping food - which means there needs to be enough room for the food + your hands + any tools you use while prepping. Location, though, will determine how you use it, so even if you have a decent size prep sink, if you put in the wrong place it will probably not be used or it will be used for other uses (maybe even as a bar sink!) I'm chuckling at all the comments about how much space people have but adamantly refuse to put in a prep sink. Whether you actually need one or not, I cannot say b/c I don't know your layouts, but so many people put in large amounts of counterspace that is a waste of far more money than an extra sink will cost b/c the counters are located where they're useless - whether b/c there's no logical work zone in that location or b/c there's no water source to make it work. Those counters then become very expensive drop/clutter zones or maybe just dust collectors! I reiterate - just b/c you work a particular way today, doesn't mean you can't make it better with a better layout in the future nor does it mean that you will work the same way if you have a different layout. Yes, it may be all you know, and something that you've made do with for years - after all, human beings are very adaptive, we can make do with almost anything, regardless of how bad something it is. We're also resistant to change and new ideas and we often have a hard time seeing other ways to do things - even if they would be so much better! We hang on to what we know and either can't see the better or don't want to b/c we're convinced that we want can be had b/c someone has convinced us it will work when it really won't (like those islands that people cannot fit with adequate aisles & seating overhang b/c someone told them they could skimp on either or both and "it'll be fine" - those someones who often have a monetary gain b/c of that island or b/c they don't have to live with it, so talk is cheap and it makes you happy to hear them say it). That's why places like this Forum with people who can look at layouts objectively and give good critiques are so important and invaluable. There are several people here who can give you good advice and even do layouts for you. (No, not all advice is necessarily good advice and if you read enough layout threads you will learn which posters are better at layouts than others....ditto for aesthetic advice, while I will do layouts, I generally stay out of aesthetic threads b/c I'm not the best at aesthetics - others are far better!) Anyway, this whole prep sink discussion, while interesting in some cases, has brought out an interesting mix of people. Oh, and I don't recommend roughing in a prep sink at a particular location b/c you don't know where it might be needed in the future - so there's no point to it. If you know you are going to put one in in a particular location in the future, fine, but I wouldn't do it "just b/c".
