Ahhhh. A good sunny day!

We heard that we would have a 70* day today! What do we do? Put the top down on the convertible and head for the coast! (usually MUCH cooler than inland!)

Went to Bodega Bay and to our favorite, Spud Point for crabby sammies and chowder! Brought home a fresh crab for dinner to go with a nice salad and bread from our favorite bakery!

Leftover crab will go into a nice seafood chowder!

We have a few more days of great weather coming before the rain comes back!

Went again today, the day before the first day of Spring to AVOID the heat! Came home to 94* at 5 PM!

I was wondering..Is it possible to burn a succulent behind a sunny window? I have never experienced that.. But as for putting them in direct sun outside? That's a whole different other story.. I would stick mine all in that window.. Why did you wait so long to put them there? Why couldn't you let them grow there all winter? Thank God for these sunny days coming..I am tired of this weather..80 by Saturday, and I hope they are not pulling our legs.. Mike

What is the pinkish one in the top right corner of the RED RAMPAGE photo? I'm going to be difficult and pick the one you weren't even trying to take a photo of as my favorite. That bright violet eye really caught my attention. COUNT IT ALL JOY is my favorite of the rest, and your PURPLE MAZE continues to look very lovely. I'm with you in not liking JULIE NEWMAR as much as everyone else seems to. Her colors wow me, but I'm not fond of her form in most pics I see of her. Casey

The sun was out but the wind was cold, cold! I went out for groceries. First to Sharp Shopper for milk and 'taters and a couple other things. Also walked through KMart to see about a portable mixer. Mine gave up the ghost a couple weeks ago. I bought it at a yard sale many years ago, so can't complain. They didn't have any. Sure is a bother to get out the old Sunbeam any more. My bones were really aching today. Sure will be glad when we have some good dry warm weather. I went to Krogers and got what I needed, and as usual after putting things away, I sat in the recliner to rest and went to sleep. Had a PB & jelly sandwich for supper. Tomorrow and the weekend are supposed to be nice. Hope they are right, Sue

Thanks Amy! I think I cheated on the penstemon, they had flower buds when I got them, being fresh pot bound nursery plants and all this year. I do have a penstemon that was supposed to be P. mensarum but I'm fairly certain it's not it hasn't flowered yet so I don't know what it is. I also have a couple P. pinifolius that haven't flowered yet either and a P. eatonii that is still just a rosette. Hey! If you swing by my newest post (Hiking) I have some pics of P. virens and P. secundiflorus that are going crazy at work!

Just as I read sunny! I saw large fat flakes begin to fall. It is just for show though because temps are spozed to climb into the 40’s. Pretty and harmless.

It was a nice warm sunny day today. There have been too many nice warm sunny days this so-called winter. Not enough cold or rain. I am grouchy. This is the worst start to ski season here since 2014 and 2004. Here is the snow depth at one measuring point in the mountains, by year and day. This year is the thick red line, 2014 is the dashed red line, 2004 is the dashed dark gray line. Sigh.

It's 90F here today after having a low of 13F on Monday. My wife's Lilacs were just starting to bloom last weekend and are toast now.

I've been out working on the garden getting ready to plant soon but I've had to take a few breaks to cool off(like right now).
