Anybody have a good jalapeno popper recipe for freezing?
Comments (13)We all have preferences. If I was going to do it, probably do it as Dennis said: == cut off ~1/2" from tip. == Stuff them (I like cream cheese with some shrimp bits) == Bread them == Deep fry them. Just barely, half cooked. == Let them cool down == Freeze. When want to serve, heat in oven, covered with foil, prevent drying out. I am talking about filling the whole pepper, not halved. Frozen Peppers without breading won't hold when thawed, me thinks. BTW: I have a small deep frier. I do a lot of mushrooms, shrimps, zukes, etc. I will try stuffed Jals and/or HHW....See MoreDo you have a microwave popcorn popper?
Comments (4)I received a hot-air popper as a wedding gift 17+ years ago and it's still going strong. No oil, no fuss, and great popcorn. It's a Poppery II corn popper by West Bend. I think of the sweet little old lady that gave it to us every time I use it, which is about every week. Isn't it funny how some gifts really stand out and you remember who gave it to you & when. I certainly don't remember every wedding gift but there are a handful I can recall without trouble....See MoreMicrowave Popcorn Popper
Comments (11)I frequently microwave basic popcorn for watching tv movies. All I do is put about 1/4 cup popcorn kernels in a pyrex bowl, add a few drops of water & lightly mix so the kernels are just barely wet-coated, cover & run it in the microwave for five & 1/2 minutes. We have an electric air-popper, but since coming up with this simple system, it's gathering dust up in the cupboard. Melt butter on the stove, pour & mix....See MoreCan you have crown molding with popcorn ceilings?
Comments (9)I just did the popcorn ceiling in our den as a test for DIY (had the kitchen and FR done as part of a total kitchen gut) and it was surprisingly easy, but tiring on the arms. The popcorn came down really easily, but I spent the next few evenings after work touching up holes with joint compound and sanding. It was definitely worth it in the end and even though we didn't do crown, I imagine doing crown over the popcorn might be tough or not look as good due to gaps. Maddielee's suggestion to remove the area just by the crown might be a nice compromise, but I say - go for it....See More- 25 days agolast modified: 25 days agopekemom thanked carolb_w_fl_coastal_9/10
