We love American Wagyu beef and buy if from a local butcher shop for special occasions in small amounts such as steak and eggs we had this morning. Later this morning we went to the butcher shop and they were out of American but had some certified A5 Japanese Wagyu, and was beautiful and nearly white.
We didn't buy it because of the price, but is it even worth it at almost three times the price compared to American Wagyu, and is the flavor the same or better?
I'm not looking for a lecture of the difference between the cows or how they're raised, I know the difference, but just opinions if the difference in taste is worth the price?
