Side story: whenever I have to cook a large meal for a holiday, I’ve been known for my mishaps. Sometimes realizing I’ve left an important ingredient out. And ither times botching something and then running to the store for more ingreduents.

I was prepared this year. Yesterday I was doing all my chopping and prep. I made my pumpkin pie and realized after stirring, I was using tablespoons instead of teaspoins.

Threw that out and luckily I had my back up can of pumpkin and condensed milk.

And speaking about pie,

ie: I'm talking to my mom on the phone and she says, "Oh! Lucy! (her cat).....Oh...Lucy just walked all over the rolled out pie dough. Oh well...no one will know."

I tell my husband, don't eat the pie. After dinner, we're asked if we want a slice of pie...."Oh no...we're just stuffed! Mom says, "Oh you've got to eat a piece, Cheryl brought the pies!" Oh...Ok....I'll take a piece. :0)
