Olychick, I've been there too. I was given a choice and the description made me think it was totally doable. Not only did it hurt more than I thought it would (I had to keep telling the Doc, "I can still feel it", so he'd give me more LaLa). On top of that, I didn't like all the thoughts swimming around in my brain. Never again!

Our cats have a fixation on our shoes. When I get home I generally slip my shoes off in a corner of the kitchen, and then when I'm cooking dinner I'll look over to see one or the other of our cats (but mostly Katya) snuggled up next to them with a proprietorial paw stretched out over them, usually after she's given them a thorough rubbing over with her face (that's how cats mark their territory).

Annie when I was a child we lived near Lake Michigan and the town had a public beach--with a wood see-saw and a metal slide. I remember being dragged to the beach one day by Grandma along with younger cousin. Grandma let us play a while until I climbed to the top of the metal slide and refused ( wisely) to go down. Grandma was furious and we all argued until cousin called Grandma a 'slave driver'. I don't remember if I was forced to slide down. To this day I don't understand why I wasn't allowed to back down the steps. But we all remember Michael calling Grandma a Slave Driver.
