Aw, Roxsol, thanks for that. The Princess’ granddaughter looked a lot like her and was talented, too. I loved Howdy Doodu, Buffalo Bob and all those characters when I was in the springtime of my life! Wait a minute, the Princess SF WS actress never had children before her death, so I guess this was strictly an actress portraying the fictional characters’s granddaughter. Oh well.

@chloebud - What a sweetheart! I love Cavaliers. We've lived with big dogs (Australian Shepherds) for 26 years, and our current two boys are middle age now (6 and 7). DH and I are in our early 70's. I'm hoping our Aussies live for many more years, but when we lose them I anticipate living with a Cavalier.

Bane, one of my rescue horses, who was very abused when I got him, doing the only thing he ever has to do for the rest of his life....enjoy his meals.

seagrass, Cavs are truly beyond sweet. Buddy was my FIL’s dog and came to live with us when he passed away. Buddy’s gone now but we were lucky to have him for the last half of his life. We’ve been thinking about getting another Cav. Here’s to many more years for your Aussies!🥰

Thank you, chloebud. Aussies can live to be 13 or more and we take good care of them. Lost our last girl early at age 6 from a severe seizure disorder. It's so heartbreaking to lose one so we usually overlap two so we have one to hug when we cry. Very demanding breed, not couch potatoes! I think I will want a lap dog by the time I turn 80.

It’s heartbreaking to lose them, especially so early. We lost Buddy when he was 12. Cavs can definitely be more couch potato-ish. They just want to be with you. I could never make eye contact with Buddy when I’d leave the house. His ”Where are you going?” look was just too hard.😞
