The newspaper issue is a hard one, isn't it? Yes on the craigslist. I would also send a flyer to all of your local vets because most have bulletin boards for such ads. Some areas have free weekly merchandiser papers they distribute to homes and businessness and that's a possibility. Ours has. Then report it to your local shelter or humane officer in case anyone should call there to see if it turned up.

I'm still not sure I have found it - because it looks like one of the owls Olychick posted above. So is that the cat - the one that looks like another, different kind of owl (to me anyway). Also, something about that picture is deeply disturbing to me. I'm sure that is a reflection of me more than the picture though. I can't even quite explain what it is that is bothering me. (I'm probably weird.....)

We're in the same club, Rusty...and it's slowly driving me bonkers! 😣 I must adjust my glasses...position wise...at least a half dozen times a day but perseverance is my middle name. I found the cat, too..also using magnification.

My cats used to come into the kitchen at 8pm., even before I got there, they got tuna as a treat every evening at 8 o’clock, how did they tell time?

My cat (not quite a year old) is in the routine of lounging on a barstool I put in the family room to function as her "throne" at 8 or 9 pm every evening while I watch GH or Family Feud or Netflix or YT. She gets antsy when the time approaches. She can also tell by the activity if I'm prepping to leave the house. And expects the routine of vacuuming the tile area of the house and cleaning of her litter box at 11:30 or midnight.

pekemom, what was funny is I would open the drawer with the can opener several times a day and she wouldn’t care. I guess the little clocks in their heads just let them know.

Our cats get crunchy treats for their teeth two times a day. They know those times but the amazing one was the day we were goint to town and one of the cats wasnt in view so in order to get eyes on this elderly cat I shook the snack jug and here she came and ever since all we have to do is get ready to go to town and they show up with bells on for their snack. One lousy time and not even at the same time every time. They learn our behavior. Maybe it is me putting on shoes? They know

I looked right at that spot, and saw something funny there, the lower face, but never saw the rest. It looks like a cat to me.

As a person who has had 18 cats over the decades, you'd think I could spot it but I can't. I usually can pick these things in a few seconds. Edited to add...that ain't no cat.
