I read an article about a year ago about a man who had this surgery. It was all I could talk about for months. My husband had cancer in one of his eyes. Richard told the doctor to remove it, but doc thought it best to keep it for aesthetic purposes. He had a tantalum ring placed behind the retina and radiation therapy. The cancer appeared to shrink, then later began to grow again. Unfortunately, it had to be removed. He has a cataract in his other eye. Although the risk is low, no local doctor wants to take the chance. Something like this would be awesome. I'm pretty sure our medical coverage wouldn't pay for it, LOL.

Roxsol, I probably worded that wrong. I meant that because he has only one eye, no doctor wants to attempt a cataract surgery, even though the risk is low. He will eventually have his driver's license revoked and will lose all his vision. That will be very hard for him.
