Discipline On the children lying... I saw a meme where Mom told her little girl that her eyes change colors when she lies, so everytime she told a lie she would shut her eyes and Mom always knew.

I do go full. He WAY lacks motivation except in a narrow slice of life —nerdy techy stuff, world chaos issues, or doing things he wants to do — like roast a chicken. He will shop and run errands, but not see floor tiles that pose a trip hazard, even when I point out. (Guess I will just have to clean up the house enough for a flooring contractor to come by and replace the floor.$ There could be a rotting dead rhino on the kitchen floor, rain coming through the roof, trip hazards. He is oblivious. I am at a loss — lazy? hostility? dementia, neurodivergence? Immaturity? Jerk? Passive-aggressive? Child? Cog decline? AH? He seems numb. Obtuse. dense. I’ve tried operant conditioning, training after trying to explain, blah. blah. Sounds mean or extreme, but when he continues to leave smelly clothes in the first floor bathroom and after ample warning, I toss them out the window. He leaves empty PB jars in sink (for a virtual maid service?), I put them on his desk. Lotsa Bird poop over the cars? I tell him I will get it washed and detailed $$. It is exhausting. I am in too much pain, fatigue, too old to pick up and move, but then again. He needs a neuro-cognitive exam? PS He’s the one who will not do any work towards moving from this large house. So, he can work, earn more $, pay for labor, have place rot away, or chop chop. He doesn‘t get started until 1 PM or 2 PM. SLOW.
