salonva- question about your window blinds

I saw your arch blinds in the “Show me yours” thread. Can you tell me where you got the blinds for the arch portion of your window? I have a double window palladian arch (72”) and all I have been able to find is either plantation type shutters, fabric pleated shades or sunburst type coverings similar to the attached pic. I would like to find 2 1/2 blinds that open and close. Can you share where you bought your arch blinds?

Good morning--- It must have been a tricky image because the palladian arch is bare.

Now that I look at the pic again, what you are seeing is actually the siding on the exterior of the house, not blinds. The arch is bare. It's barely dawn now but I snapped a picture from a different angle and you can see the siding and then the tree.

😂 it sure looked like blinds! Thanks for responding- I guess I’ll have to go with the sunburst type covering. I hate to cover up the arch, but I don’t sleep as well as I used to and even moonlight seems to be affecting my ability to fall asleep.

Sorry, I just saw your post! If you are still interested I can get the info on the manufacturer for you! It was a replacement for another bay window. It is framed with wood, the granite runs flat out to the window and is bordered by the backsplash material which I love! You probably found something by now, hope it all worked out! This forum is so active, messages get "buried" in a day! My apologies!

I have the wider blinds on all windows (except my garage ext. door) and prefer them since they tend to look more like shutters. I also prefer them because they let in more light and view when open. Personally, I like the smooth since I don't feel the embossed looks like real wood blinds that I've owned. Again, I feel the smooth looks like shutters. I can't recommend them for the patio door. I think you'll find them noisy as they clang against each other when there's a breeze or the dogs brush against them. I prefer the fabric for silence and for softness. I've never had problems with my verticals getting dirty from the dogs but I make sure they're open when the dogs are going out. Did you know you can buy extra vertical vanes if you need replacements?

Thank you. I appreciate the words of experience. I probably need to go somewhere local where they carry them and take a look to get a better idea. I'll probably end up buying them online, since the prices seem better. To start with, I have two narrow windows that are probably about 6 feet tall and 12 inches wide, as well as the window over my kitchen sink that will need a blind that is approximately 52 inches x 52 inches. (I am going to mount it well over and outside the window to be sure that I can pull the blinds up far enough to completely uncover the window. When open, I like to be able to let as much light as possible into the house.

Here is how we handled the sunburst

But plantation shutters are not blackout. This is in my dining area.

I would first cover the sunburst then do a window treatment.
