Those darn rabbits

last year

I feel so bad. Two of my daughters spent hours sprucing up my small back yard yesterday and this morning when I looked out my kitchen window I saw some of the hosta they had planted in shreds. I had hosta planted in this same place for years and never had any problem until a couple of years ago when the rabbits decided they were tasty and chomped them down to the ground. I didn't know that they were going to plant hosta or I would have suggested using something else. Anyway what can I use to try to save the remaining plants? They worked so very hard and planted many other perenials and annuals and even added some solar lighting. Hopefully there might be some common household items I can use. Thanks in advance.
