Can I make my tvs more decorative?

last modified: last year

My query is a bit tongue-in-cheek, as starting a thread in this forum is the only way I can cross-share with KT, where this really ought to be placed (and will be) -- (I hope!). BUT I don't really care a bit about "decorating" my tvs. See below for my true rant:

MY ACTUAL QUERY is about the current offerings on various cable channels, not premium ones, that used to have good stuff many years ago. But they have completely moved away from their original line-ups, and it is very disappointing to me.

For instance, here's a few:

A&E -- used to show real arts + music and decent "entertainment". Now = things like "Live PD" and "Storage Wars". Very artistic...riiiight.

History Channel -- once actually dealt with history. Now = "Swamp People" (oh, yeah, so appealing..). And "Pawn Stars" (tho oddly this show used to be interesting to me only because the fellow who produces it was a classmate of my younger DS, and I knew him well).

Bravo -- my memory is foggy as to what this channel used to provide, but I pretty certain it was not such stuff as the "Real Housewives of...wherever".

The Learning Channel -- now shows of the ilk of "My 600-lb Life" and "90-Day Fiance". Not what I want to learn anything about, really.

Guess I'm just having a bad start to my day. Something wrong with the electric panel this morning, so couldn't make my coffee. But on the brighter side, the sun is shining and the month of February will be over tomorrow, spring is in the wings and the birds are singing!!
