NEVER USE NEVER USE NEVER USE, ITS A SPAM i had a really bad bad the worst experience in my life with those fake people, these people are a spam, they don't have a company or a store or even a services to be provided they just have a bunch of cons working with them. they take the down payment to start the project and then they start messing at your home and leave and never show up or come back and never answer the phone. in addition to the address above is not an office location : surprise its a complex for apartments. please be careful and never contact these people coz u will definitely gonna lose your money. i went to the police dept. and i made a report on them and they are looking for those cons now. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND REPORT ABOUT BFF HOME SERVICES EVERYWHERE TO MAKE THEM STOP AND DO NOT CON ON ANYONE ELSE. no i asked once a question on Decorist though...they have(or used to have? I stopped following a while ago) this "Ask a designer" thing...well, not that I got a bad answer, it was nice, and made sense and all, but I thought "okay..such advice I kinda can give myself..." I just didn't learn anything new. But it wasn't anybody famous..as far as I understand now they have collaborations with some very well known professionals out there.. And also, I asked for free:) I'm sure you will have much bigger level of involvement with the whole service etc.

I tried a local landscape architectural firm to just come out and do a consult with me and paid by the hour. It was informative to some degree, but I never used any of their ideas. The benefit I came away with is how strongly he discouraged me from trying to grow blackberries. His advice was that if I wanted blackberries, I should install a 3ft deep, in the ground, cement barrier separating it from the rest of the garden. So no blackberries for me. I decided to do my own designing for better or worse. And I learned a lot about myself and what I wanted. I think it would have been a waste of time and money to choose a plan by a designer and install it, because I seem to have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of coming up with my own ideas and trying them out. I enjoy the experimentation and I've reworked my beds many times and eventually ended up with a few different final results that I was happy with. But I would have missed out if I didn't have that summer of trying sunflowers in front of the house. [g] Or the year I decided, no, I don't want to grow dahlias. IF I were going to hire a designer, I would expect to have a conversation to provide me with their qualifications, style, and methods and a list of projects they had done and the ability to go and view them before I decided if it was a good fit. And I would do what I did the last time, ask for a consult with an hourly fee, to walk around my property and discuss their ideas, to see if it was going to be what I wanted before contracting for a full design plan.
