Who remembers and loved Sara Lee orange cake?
Comments (12)So here it was. It was fabulous. For the frosting I did 1/4 c lightly salted softened butter creamed with 4 oz softened cream cheese. Then added 3 c confectioners sugar, the zest of 1 orange and the juice from half the orange. I refrigerated overnight to allow flavor to develop. Then I made the cake the following morning. I added the juice from the remaining half of the orange to soften the frosting before frosting the cake. For the cake I just did my standard gluten free yellow cake and added the zest and juice of 1 orange at the end of prep....See MoreWho remembers fudge pie and still makes?

I do some "hit and run" here, but between Mother, my Clerk job in an election year, the farm and garden and things my kids/grandkids need, well, there's not much time left. I'm glad to see you again, though. Annie...See MoreA members foolproof bread recipe? Can't remember who it is.
Comments (4)I have a foolproof sourdough recipe which I've posted, but there's a lot of stuff to do, It just doesn't depend on what kind of starter you have, just that it's fed and strong and active. My regular commercial yeast daily bread recipe is really easy, too, but all basic bread is. Flour, water, yeast, salt, knead or age to develop gluten, rise, shape, rise, bake....See More- last month
