Comments (26)Suzanne, you take lovely pictures. Hope your muscles recover from all that shoveling. We had a lovely evening and are looking forward to our restaurant dinner this evening. ;-) We did get a call from DSIL that DMIL--at 78 years old---was out in the ice trying to shovel. DSIL lives down the street from her mom, and we 8 miles away; however, last night it might as well have been 100 miles because the roads were icy and dangerous. DH decided to leave his mom a message like "are you NUTS?....if you are back in the house listening to this....STAY THERE"! Saved us a trip, but she is extremely stubborn. Raeanne, my DH would be jealous of that snow plow. DBIL lives around the corner from us and brings his snow plow when we need it, but I just know that DH would love one of his own....if he builds an addition to our shed to house it, he's welcome to one. lol! Comments (36)Raeanne/Donna: Sorry gals, but DBIL is not looking. :-( Very set in his ways, and his 3 daughters are way ahead of you in trying to set him up! Will be sure to let you both know when situation changes. BJ, great to see you again. I baked over 220 cookies today alone...over the past 3 days the number is well over 400 I'm sure. Exhausted! Now I'm trying to get some things wrapped for a few coworkers. I've given up the idea of getting a few trays of cookies together to bring to the office Monday...not gonna happen until Wednesday. Tomorrow I'll be walking again at 6:15am with my neighbor for 30-45minutes. After that, instead of trying to get to the office by 7:45, I've decided to stop at Kohl's (about 1 mile from me, and it opens at 7am!) They have adorable Christmas pins on sale for under $10. I have a couple, and whenever I wear one of them, this wonderful gal in work mentions how she loves them. Think I'll surprise her (which means I need to bring along tissue, ribbon, a bow, and a gift bag with me to wrap in the car on the way to work!) Oh yes, I did 6 loads of laundry yesterday. There are only me and DH in this house and I do laundry each and every week. I can't imagine why I had 6 loads, but there they were! lol!! Gotta run and get this stuff together. Make this week count! Take care, eat healthy, and NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP! DeeMarie (who's blood pressure was only 118/68 at her doc's appt on Friday, even AFTER they poked in 3 different areas trying to get enough blood for rountine tests) whoooooo hoooooo!!! Comments (18)illini - thanks, I am very excited about the dish hutch. It's directly across from the DW and I think it will work out great for that, setting the table, and it should keep everyone out of my cooking zone, etc.. deedles - I know I know, a crazy 'problem' to ponder! I am feeling like I have way too much space and will have empty drawers. But surely once we get in there they will fill up. I will have much more space than I have ever had. My one 4 drawer is on the island so not next to any other drawer stack and yes I think it might bug me if they were right next to each other. romy-thanks. I do like the look of it too. But I keep thinking what about the function. I will check kksmama's drawers (lol) - thanks for the tip. I think I have forgotten about other things I had stashed away in the basement because it didn't fit, cookie cutters, less used baking items and holiday stuff. That will all fit now. :) sherri-I think I might look at aftermarket dividers, that's a great idea. Foils, wraps and baggies I was planning for the 4 drawer stack - but they could go in my other 33" by the fridge too. So if I keep 36/12, it sounds like most of you would keep it a door (like mpagmom) and not a pull out? I'm not even sure they have any new fangled thing on a 12" pull out. Comments (16)Was Abi happy about Joe's spell? I didn't get that at all. The interview was obviously well after they knew he was going to be all right and she was showing excitement that there was an opportunity to make a move. I'd agree that she was happy that Keith won. I thought the point was very good, however -- was it Kelley or Abi? -- that Joe was willing to push himself over the edge to win and that there was no beating that. I never thought Joe had a chance of winning. He didn't do enough to curry support for keeping him around. He was playing social as in making people like him, but not as in keeping a supporting alliance pushing him along even though he had the biggest target on his back. Boston Rob's win was a textbook example of working it and making it happen with a huge target. You must keep a tight group tight and keep the potential defectors and movers from defecting and moving. Without that, you're out. That Joe got a week's reprieve because Steven was considered a stronger outwit threat was a gift to him. Time and again we've seen that if players aren't strong in all three facets (strategy, sociality, and challenges), that the social and all it includes is by far the most important, because immunity will only get you so far. You need allies to keep you in the game, and you need jurors to give you the win. I don't get the comments about "the wrong one went home", unless you're just expressing support for your favorite. For each and every player remaining in the game, Joe was the one who most needed to be eliminated. He was absolutely the right choice. He actually was last week too, and from what Spencer said, I think the main reason they got rid of Steven first was so that Spencer could argue that he'd made a big move to the jury. Ousting Joe wasn't a "big" move -- it was the obvious move....See More- last year
