Aren't prices for cooling systems cheaper in the colder months?

I'll buy it in March. There is no good time here. I'm buying it early enough that other people will not be buying new systems, because they don't know yet. But buying AC in the south, there is no good season.

I have a dude and a price. There's no point in buying it now, when I'm down to days? Who knows what will happen in the next few months? It can wait

If she was just braver, I would. She's been abused at some point. If I pick her up, and say sssh sssh sssh, she knows I'll show her something, and she doesn't need to be afraid. It's pretty rare I'll do that. I'm trying to desensitize her. She's getting there!

Such a beauty. I'd love to live with a cat again. We had 2 cats, but have dogs now. They're big, bossy Australian Shepherds. If I ever find myself alone in life, I'd live with a cat again. I don't anticpate or look forward to being alone, but the idea of living with a cat gives me comfort in that scenario.

I keep a glass of water next to the bed at night. I had a cat that would put his entire arm down in the glass and carefully tip it over to get a drink of water. Just because he could. I had to start using one with a lid. He did the mere cat thing to for looking out the screen door. He would lay his ears flat at the same time. Too funny.

I’m in the south as you know and will not second guess your decision to delay the purchase of a central hvac system, but if one part has bit the dust, it usually means the other may soon follow. If at all possible, i would recommemd looking into replacing your system sooner rather than later. Research good companies. Many have no-interest payment plans.

I'm replacing the whole system.

When I moved in 9 years ago, my brother rewired it (he's a master electrician), because it was wrong.

On top of which, typical lifetime of a system is 15 years. It has parts that are a year old, some that are 11 years old, and some that are 13 years old.

This year, I found out it was installed improperly and condensation has been sitting in the system because it wouldn't drain. It was leveled improperly.

So it's time for a whole new system, and that's at least four figures, closer to five. Hence the reason I'm waiting. I have the money, but that's a big chunk of money. I'd like to build up a little bit first.

I recently got the wooden cat perch in these pics from Etsy. They hold 25#, are portable & easily moved. Cost was $25. I found my dog sitting on window sill gazing into back yard & up into trees scanning for the squirrels who roam in great numbers out there. The perch & then the addition of the stairs for easy up / down, makes it her favorite sitting spot. The perch might be a great deal for your meercat Chyla - she can jump on right from that chair. My little Papillon is a retired show girl who came to live with us last November. It took awhile for her personality to fully emerge so that’s why the perch & steps. We’re adapting our home for her convenience…..
