The resolution read, in part, “as President, Herbert Hoover took an active part in settling the engineering problems and location of the dam in Black Canyon…” and noted that “the construction contracts were signed under his administration, and when he left office construction had been pushed to a point where it was more than a year ahead of schedule.” On April 30, 1947, President Harry S. Truman signed the resolution and restored the name Hoover Dam to the structure. So it was Hoover, became Boulder and went back to Hoover in 1947...

Now I'm beginning to have serious concerns about my mental status. I did get all the 'regular' puzzle right, so there is that. And even though I looked at the bonus and saw the two words, 'hand' and 'hen', never once did I come even close to changing 'hen' to 'bird'. In my own defense, I will say that while I did grow up on a farm, we never EVER referred to our hens (and we often had a lot of them!) as 'birds'. They were chickens! Rusty

Ditto what Carolb said. I do seem to have more time personally on Sundays these days, but only because I am tied up many days with my volunteer activities, especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays lately. Add in my Pilates classes, Board meetings, and other things and some days are quite full. Hopefully some of that will ease up soon when our Holiday displays at the Garden open in a couple of weeks. What i’m saying is, dont tailor it just for me. I am grateful for these puzzles to get my mind on something else for a while.
