I have an additional question. I'll see if I can make it make sense. I hadn't really noticed the door & window heights in the kitchen/dining/den until the room was sheetrocked yesterday. The windows are at 8 ft, there's a large one (5x6ft) on the east wall, and in the SE corner there are two regular sized windows making the corner, also at 8ft tall (sink will be in this corner.) We have a cased opening on the North wall at 8ft, looking through that opening you see a 6'8" door across a small hallway. On the SW corner of the West wall there is a 6'8" pocket door and right next to it on the South wall in the SW corner we have a 8' cased opening. I'm thinking I should lower all the door heights, especially since two bascially are next to each other making the corner of the room. But will that be odd w/ the window height being 8 ft? The window will sit basically right next to the kitchen cabinets and then in the corner there is windows that are also 8ft high.

You should be able to. There are track adaptors which will take a basic cord for a pendant or a plug in. I've linked to the plug in version. Look for EP 814. If you go to the next page, the EP 815 can work as well. You'll just have to cut the actual plug off and wire your fixture directly into the 815. This one is nice since there's a ring to support the weight of the fixture. I don't know if your light has a support cable or not. You must decide if you want the doors to be featured in the room and how the doors relate to the rooms. For normal swinging doors a 7 ft height would allow both the doors and the room heights to feel generous without making a feature of the doors. Taller doors can become narrow features that can detract from the room height. Wider openings might be more appropriate as features and therefore taller than the normal swinging doors depending on how you want the rooms to relate to each other. It is important to study the walls of each room rather than adopting arbitrary rules of thumb.

The fans are all over the internet…search for “aviation fan”. As, for the white paint for walls, do White Dove in eggshell finish. With the Vanilla Milkshake, White Dove on doors and trims, you don’t want to mix in another white.
