bar flooring, help please

I'm finally taking the plunge and revamping the floors after what feels like forever. The old ones have seen better days, and it's high time for a refresh.

Here's the thing, though – I'm totally overwhelmed by all the options! I want something that's gonna hold up against spills (because, well, it's a bar!), but I also want it to look good and fit the vibe of the place. We're more of a chill bar, so I'm picturing something that's both functional and stylish.

Anyone been through this recently? I'd love to hear your experiences and what kind of bar flooring to choose. Any advice would be a huge help!

P.S. If anyone has any specific recommendations for super slip-resistant options, I'm all ears

For a custom fit, sit on the bar stool at the counter. Hold your arms as if they were resting on an imaginary counter top. Measure the distance from your elbow to the actual counter. That's how much you need to cut off; adjust as desired (some people like to sit a bit higher at a bar, relative to the bar top).

Knee wall height for bar in kitchen??? Please help

A friend of mine has an extra high wall (not certain of exact height but it is probably around 48") separating his kitchen island from his family room. Oddly, during gatherings, everyone tends to hang out around this island and use this half wall as if it were a breakfast bar. It makes eating and conversing somewhat difficult due to the height. Unless you have a reason to want to further hide the kitchen from the adjoining room, I would opt for 42" (standard bar height) rather than going any higher.

We are doing similar. I ordered 2 styles to try out once we have our walls up. https://www.amazon.com/Moen-YG0724CH-24-Inch-Designer-Chrome/dp/B00CPQI9HS and https://www.amazon.com/Gatco-944-Elevate-Grab-Chrome/dp/B01M5G6X8K The circular one is a very similar to the towel bars we have in the bathroom. The square one matches our square shower head. I'll have to see which one I like better. If it is the circular one we will install the square one in another bathroom where I have square towel bars.

please help - all bar pulls or knobs on doors, pulls on drawers

One pull per drawer is frequently preferred over two, and I think the general rule if you are using only one on a drawer is that it should be about 1/3 the width of that drawer. Personally I got many (many!!) samples of both pulls and knobs and I would recommend you do that as well. It was a huge help in making my final decision. Good luck!
