Kitchen backsplash is not symmetrical and I don't know what to do

Help!

Our contractor took down pine paneling to change the layout of the kitchen. Unfortunately, they took down too much (white tile was supposed to stop at the range hood) and we had to buy more last minute to fill in the gap where the paneling was designed to be. They centered the accent tile to the stove but I hate the line of cut tile where the wood beam (installed at an earlier date (and will be stained to match paneling later)) meets the tile/ paneling; as well as the fact that the accent tile has a small section of cut tile above but not below. I think the lack of symmetry makes this project bad but others say it looks fine. Am I overreacting? If not, any advice on how to proceed would be much appreciated.
