Need mantel decoration ideas
Comments (23)My goodness, is that really a live fish? I would for one thing move it away from the fireplace and give it a much larger space, preferably not in the living room. An area rug over your carpet, perhaps tying in with the teal colors of your pillows, if you decide to go in that direction, would also give more life and color to your room. Try esalerugs for transitional rugs in polypropylene which are easy to care for an can even be hosed off outside when they get dirty....See MoreFireplace/Mantel decor ideas
Comments (2)I agree that less on the mantel is best, more focus on the sign. I am also not a big fan of prefab fireplaces with louvers. Even though it is a blatant distraction, most people overlook this and don't realize it can be hidden like this: Shown Above: 1P30M Labyrinth Fireplace Screen with MAN-9 Gallery Andirons in Statuary Bronze. The Labyrinth pattern hides what is behind it very well. Shown Above: Custom Fireplace Screen with double woven mesh in Dark Bronze. If you paint the existing glass door frames black they will disappear behind the double woven mesh. A nice antique oak mantel clock would fill the bill for rustic. Or a framed old map of your region. Check local or regional artist who work in wrought iron. They may be able to make a fireplace screen for you....See MoreFireplace Mantel shelf color ideas - HELP!
