Paint Experts? Question on Formula Comparisons

Recently bought a house and planning to repaint the interior. For comparison purposes, I'm trying to determine the existing color on the walls and want to go a little lighter. The original builder painted the house Storm's Coming from PPG, but I think it looks lighter than Storm's Coming. The previous owner didn't have the name of the wall color, but a paint can left at the house has a color match from SW which is the photo named "Beige Interior". I am looking at BM Edgecomb Gray which I'm told is the formula on the other photo named "Barb". Given there is less black in the Edgecomb, is it safe to assume it would be lighter? If so, any thoughts on how to determine approximately how much lighter (Edgecomb LRV = 63)? Thanks in advance for any help in decoding.
