Dog stairs

So, my old dog, Chewie, has arthritis in his hips. It's been getting harder and harder for me to get him into my vehicle to take him to get groomed or to the vet. Then I bought a little SUV and made matters worse. I bought a ramp last year or the year before and it wouldn't fit because the back door of my Altima wouldn't open wide enough. I gave it to the Humane Society here.

Then I saw someone post a picture of stairs they used to get their dog in and out of their vehicle so I started to read tons of reviews on them. I decided on this one, seemed safer, more sturdy than some of the others. PET GEAR Easy Step II Extra Wide Cat & Dog Stairs, Chocolate - Chewy.com I finally used it today to get Chewie into my Rogue. He only hesitated a few seconds and then climbed right up on his own. I thought I was going to have to help him but didn't need to. If anyone is needing something like this for their elderly dog, I highly recommend it.

It is big and bulky and doesn't fold up, but it fits right in back of my SUV just fine. It'll be kept in a spare bedroom and not in my vehicle when not in use. He doesn't go out very often. Some that fold up had reviews of them collapsing when their dogs were on it.
