Hey DC well, i'm totally new to the forums and to the idea of trading. please know i did read your post and didn't choose *not* to follow it. i'm just always different and a problem. laughs. i wish i could follow your post better, but honestly i don't have much to give and am unsure of what some of your abbreviations meant. and don't worry, saying no to me is easy. you don't have to explain yourself...."not interested" works just fine and no hard feelings from me. i'm a newbie dealing in carnivorous plants, just got my first few sundews 2 weeks ago and such a novice i barely know what i'm doing, but so far they haven't died. i've read everything i can find and seemingly doing everything right as i've not killed any yet and from what i've read they can die rather quickly. but i'm really good at trying to do things right. i saw you deal in a LOT of carnivorous plants and would love to have seedlings, semi-mature plants from your collection. seeds would be great, but i'm so new i'd prolly be better off w/ a semi-established plant as i have had horrific results in the past w/ seedlings from the easiest plants to grow both from 1" seedlings and from seed. is there anything we can work out? i don't have much to trade, but i am willing to pay for some plants and shipping if you'd be willing to sell a few. i am most interested in bog condition sundews that don't mind living in damp environments because of how i am potting them. i have freeze dried bloodworms to give them now (they arrived today) but unsure how to feed a sundew w/o dew production and also not sure if i should put bloodworms down the throat of the pitcher plants or not. any advice you have is appreciated, and i'd love to get a few plants from you. thanks. Dan, I thought so too. Almost ALL the little 3" pots were mislabeled, from customers reading labels and then shoving them back into the wrong pots. In fact one of my pots was labeled Kalanchoe thrysifolia. (rolling eyes here) I should go back and get 2 Kalanchoe thrysifolias, cuz they were nicely colored up. They also had the tri-colored Echeverias. (can't think of the name) They'd look good for foliage too. And they had a ton of C. 'Campfire' too. I would REALLY like to get 2 nice sized string of pearls for these urns. In about 2 months we should be frost free here. :)

I've only really been hobbying with plants the last year or two but so far I have not killed a succulent. I don't have any cacti. Every succulent I've had I have kept alive. I have not tried lithops though, or any holiday cactus. I have several tropical plants that have all stayed alive. I killed one but I let it die kind of...I didn't water it for FOUR MONTHS and then finally I threw it out because it was in really bad shape but it was still alive. It was my first plant and was still in the black muck and I was too scared to repot it because hubby once said he saw millipedes in it (blech). I was really just waiting for it to die but it wouldn't. It was a Chinese Evergreen, whatever those are called. Actually, I did have an Ivy die but that was probably because it was in a plastic pot without a hole and I didn't ever get around to making one myself. I have good success with orchids, though I have two Cattleya hybrids that are struggling. I have brought a Dendrobium and a Wilsonara back from the dead. I have NOT had luck with African Violets but I also didn't really try at all and am trying again. I'm giving up on them if this time around I don't succeed. I really credit all of my success with you GardenWeb people. I would have given up a long time ago if it weren't for you all. I've learned so much here.

It's a Sinningia leucotricha, yes :D The little pots are Othonna capensis, aka "Ruby Necklace" It's a hanging plant like string of beans. I'm going to pot the 5 little pots all together :D
