crackled subway tile to match taj mahal
Comments (8)It would help to post a picture of your Taj Mahal (which is one of my favorite quartzites). some are more gray, some beige, lighter/darker. What color are your cabinets? I love my Encore. I used Cameo, but Ice is lighter. silver medium, steel darker. I'll search if I still have pictures. All these are Encore; you just have to find the one you like and matches in the grand scheme of things....See MoreTaj Mahal Quartzite Slabs
Comments (20)bwithers17, of course. I don't think you will be unhappy with either of your choices! Taj Mahal is a beautiful stone. Maybe one goes better with your cabinets and you can use that to be the deciding factor! I did have help from a great gal who knows stone and tile and she was very good at the stone yards. The people working there knew her well and had no problem moving slabs for her. Our fabricator was awesome too. We were with him for what seemed like forever while he played with the templates to get everything flowing in the right directions, right down to the little piece in the windowsill. In the end, when it was installed, I really saw why he was so particular in his template. He did a beautiful job. Also, we've had no issues with staining, etc. Everything seems to clean up really easily. We've been using our kitchen for about 10 months and had no issues with the stone. I'd pick it again without hesitation....See MoreNeed help finding flooring to go with Taj Mahal counters in kitchen
Comments (14)Thank you to all who responded - this is my first time posting anything, so apologize for my deficiencies here ;). I just uploaded a few photos but the lighting is not great as it is early morning and no natural light is in the room. But my taj mahal is more brown than gray, more warm than cool. In the one photo I included a tile I am considering - it is the lightest one. I am trying to pick up the light parts of my taj but having trouble finding tile that is not too white, gray or yellow. I have considered brick and I like the sample in the photo I included but not sure if brick is too busy and if this brick is too gray. And lastly, the tiled area runs against my living and dining that has wood that I am not ready to replace, thus ruling out wood. Question, if I did a drastically different wood-look tile and ran in opposite direction, could I get away with this against the other wood? Like white-washed wide plank running opposite direction to the floor as pictured here. Your help is so appreciated. I have been looking for new flooring for over 2 years, which is maddening!...See Moreneed backsplash suggestions for Taj Mahal quartzite countertops
Comments (15)So is it Benjamin Moore Snowfall White on your cabinets? If so, it has a yellow undertone. The Taj Mahal slab you picked has pink undertones on my screen. I am not a paint expert, but think the yellow will make the pink look even more pink and vice versa. It might make finding a backsplash tile very difficult. Can you bring one of your cabinet doors to see how it looks next to the Taj? Also, what are your floors? Do you have a flooring sample you could bring to the slab as well?...See MoreRelated Professionals
