Should I worry about these beams and joists in the basement?

The house is 140 years old. The main beam (carrying beam) is about 6x8(or 9?) inches, and there are some cracks on it (pictures 1-2). The joists are 2x8(or 9?). About twenty years ago, a steel beam was added (pictures 3-4). The steel beam is about 5 feet away from the original main beam and they are in parallel. Two steel columns (maybe concrete inside) were added to support the original main beam and two columns were added to support the new steel beam.

My concerns are:

1)are the cracks in the main beam a concern? Should another steel beam be attached to the bottom of the main beam?

2)how long will the new steel beam last and how long will the 4 steal columns last?

3)I know someone will probably say we better to hire a structure engineer to check, but i would like to get some opinions here first.

Thanks!
