White vinyl floor??? Already done?

I agree we need to see the space now. I also have no clue about hiding the FP and take that fake plant to the trash. Do you have atable picked out ? I am all for contempory and sleek but it still needs things that are not hard or glass. A big white box is not nice . Where is the art you love. Why the drop down step into the LR that should have been dealt with when you did the floors. I often add wood to a really sleek cold space so IMO anice bit more contemporary table in wood might be nice maybe even with ghost chairs you might even want a really traditionl table with ghost chairs

Consider rattan chairs, to add texture and warmth.

It is hard to suggest a light and chairs (and maybe a rug) without seeing your new floors and furniture in place. Consider posting new photos when the work is closer to completion.
