Thermador Pro Harmony 36' Gas Range - anyone have?
Comments (8)After a similarly fruitless search for information in November and December, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and risk the 36" pro harmony with six gas burners on top, as part of a double-kitchen renovation for a two family house. After seven months of construction zone purgatory, we have finally moved into the owner's unit and I am looking at the aforementioned range as we speak. So far I can say that I'm pretty sure that the periodic lighting of the fire for the extra low burners is not going to be bothersome, you do hear a clicking but it isn't obnoxiously loud. I'm also not particularly bothered by the fan sound of the oven yet. But this thing is pretty much fresh out of the box, and our ventilation unit still hasn't been installed yet, so I'm not ready to do large scale cooking projects on this baby yet. Will post further when I do have the benefit of more experience....See MoreThermador Pro Harmony protrudes too much?
Comments (13)I'm probably going to get the 3" trim kit, but wait until my Visa card has recovered a bit. I HAVE resolved the issue of whether it's needed by calling Thermador directly. Here's the scoop: the range must be 12" from a combustible (e.g., drywall) surface. However, it can be placed flush against a tiled wall without a trim kit because tile is not combustible. If a lower trim kit is available, I'll let everyone know. On the appliance forum someone indicated that installing anything other than Thermador-approved would void the warranty. HTH. The PH hood is 11", 600 cfm. I believe mine vents to outside. I'm not particularly a greasy messy frying kind of cook, and rarely used the former POS. Haven't yet tried the grill option. PS My range is beautiful, and roey and arc, yours are/will be too! I'm still trying to get the hang of cooking with convection....See MoreGE Monogram or Thermador ProHarmony 48” Range
Comments (7)I just got a 36" Monogram which I love. It replaced a 30" Thermador. I dont know about their 48" but the oven of my thermador was very shallow which I hated, the oven capacity of my monogram is much deeper, and I really disliked the simmer on my Thermador, which I think they have on all their ranges but you could double check. The flame goes on and off. which I didnt find worked well. The Monogram gets down really low, much lower than the Thermador ever did....See MoreThermador vs Wolf 30 inch all-gas ranges
Comments (4)For cooking performance Bluestar RNB is the only good consumer option I'm aware of. The Thermador burners seem better than Wolf but are still far short of those on the RNB. Wolf is purely the facade of the nameplate though that is fading as people realize how bad the newer burners are. I believe Bertazzoni have dual ring burners like the older Wolf burners. These are better than what Wolf and Thermador offer but short of the RNB burners. More: https://bamasotan.us/the-kitchen/...See MoreJennifer Hogan
