Does anyone have this Ruvati 33" Undermount Workstation sink?
Comments (3)Hi! I don't own a Ruvati but I did see one in person recently during my own search for a new kitchen sink. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the Ruvati, to be honest, though it was a step above a Kohler workstation sink in material and workmanship. The Ruvati has a roll-up drying rack, so it's not built-in. I'm currently looking seriously at a Havens Metals sink. They have quality workmanship at reasonable prices. This company used to manufacture sinks for Rachiele until recently. You can ask for an upgrade to 316 stainless steel with Havens, and it won't be that much more expensive. As for the level of the cutting board, there are different theories, and I don't really recall where the Ruvati board sat. One theory is that to have the board lower than the top ledge of the sink helps contain the water and mess better. Another theory is to have the cutting board sit higher than the sink keeps knives from hitting the countertop material. I've seen photos of cutting boards people have had custom made for their workstation sinks to be precisely level, which is something you could easily do. Hope I'm not too late with this advice. I actually found the thread doing a general search for reviews on workstation sinks....See MoreUndermount stainless steel sink with ledge/work station
Comments (8)Ours has two ledges which I highly recommend. I like that I can slide the colander under the cutting board and stack them on the side and still have room to run the water and use the sink. Nantucket Pro Series has the size that you need. I replaced the colander with a $10 expandable one that will fit either ledge....See MoreFaucet for 32 inch Kraus CORE Workstation sink (undermount)-HELP
Comments (8)We have been happy with this Kohler Artifacts faucet at our prep sink. I recommend it if it fits your style. Our prep sink has an inside width of 28" and the reach is more than sufficient. There is a version that is a bit taller than this one. Plenty of height to place stockpot on top of cutting board for filling. Easier than lifting from bottom of sink. https://www.us.kohler.com/us/artifacts-single-hole-kitchen-sink-faucet-with-16-pull-down-spout-and-turned-lever-handle-docknetik-magnetic-docking-system-and-3-function-sprayhead-featuring-sweep-and-berrysoft-spray/productDetail/kitchen-sink-faucets/1062778.htm...See MoreJulien vs Elkay Undermount Sink
Comments (11)"One is made in China, the other is made in USA/Canada. You pick." @sabigabatini - just say what you really mean, not some side-of-your-mouth comment. I've seen your dozens of posts of endless indecision going back and forth over sinks and faucets. People here gave you helpful, detailed advice - not a sentence like you just wrote. If you have finally at long last decided on a Julien sink, good for you. The Julien sink is out of many people's budgets. And guess what, Kohler, Blanco, Franke all sell sinks and faucets made in China. Frankly, I think companies charging thousands of dollars for a stainless steel sink are laughing all the way to the bank. Many people thrilled with their Elkay sinks, Kraus sinks, their Kohler/Blanco/Franke sinks made in China. 16-gauge sinks, well made, well packed, and praised by thousands of reviews online and on this forum. Elkay a 100-year-old company located in Illinois. "You pick" you said - I'd pick it any time....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
