Haven't used it but may well do so here once the walls are de-textured (I hate textured walls to begin with and PO did a crap job to boot). I think there are some really nice patterns in that line, ranging from very modern prints to classic florals and toiles - others may of course disagree. IMO many people dislike wallpaper because of a backlash from the overuse of faddish papers like the proverbial 1980s beribboned geese and country plaids LOL or giant orange-and-green flowers from the 70s rather than classic patterns or from the hassle of removing improperly applied paper. I really like wallpaper as long as a) it's not used to excess unless the house's architecture is suited to it, b) the scale and style of the paper is suited to the space it's in (for instance, a very large room with high ceilings might need a paper with a great deal of "negative space" to avoid being overpowering, but in a little powder room you can get away with a wowzer dense print that would overwhelm in larger doses) b) it's not the cheap, shiny vinyl junk. But then I'm not the fickle type who wants to change colors every other year - those folks are probably better suited to just paint.

Dianalo, thanks for the doors link! Funcolors, I just don't like the grooves that are routed into the doors. Those are the white lines you see on the doors in the photo. Yes we really do deserve laundry rooms that make us smile. I called my utility company the other day to ask if I could sew a "cozy" for my electric water heater. The gal put me on hold and when she came back she said they were all chuckling over the idea and I was the first person to ask that. Can't imagine why, because I can't be the only woman alive sick of staring at an ugly water heater. Htnspz, I've been looking and looking for that paper or close to it. I'm still looking. That is what I like doing, taking something that's a bit edgy or different and seeing if I can pull it off. I've made some colossal mistakes that way, but also had a few nice triumphs. If it's any comfort, I can't find the paper either and I sure have tried. If one of us finds the stuff, we should alert the other. Which bedroom pic inspired you? You know the one that got to me was the bed with big orange flowers, orange checked bedskirt, and lots of pale green trim in the room. Never could find that quilt anywhere. That's the whimsical part that made me laugh -- but hey, I'm glad there are people on this earth with all sorts of tastes that are different from mine. I enjoy seeing what they do. Good thoughts about the laundry room. The green in this guest bath will be low; it shouldn't reflect on the guests' skin. I've spent a lot of time on Thibaut's home page. I agree with you they have some great stuff. Sheesh, you're right that hardware needs to go. I'm thinking I'll put up wainscoting (I probably have enough left over paper for the bathroom) and paint that and the vanity green. To those of you who didn't like the paper, thank you for sharing what is so for you. I go out on decorating limbs a bit, but with hopes that I can make it work. Sometimes I can. Sometimes I can't.

I saw that! Gorgeous. Where I looked it was only in charcoal grey and not black. But I’ll look again! I just can’t imagine, there’s not other people who don’t need a full 8 yards or want to shell out over $1k if they only need 1/2 the toll or part of the roll. I just assumed there was a site or some resource that would offer remnants or 1/2 or partial rolls of designer paper. If not, maybe I need to start a little business, lol.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Mine is/was similar. I found several layers of wallpaper, with a skim coat in between, and then under that, it seems to have been applied directly to drywall. I have removed a lot of wallpaper in the past, but I ended up damaging the drywall in one room so badly, we decided to hire someone. I had several contractors come through who looked at the amount of wallpaper and wouldn't do it! One guy was willing and he starts this morning so I will see what magic he uses. If he has any tips, I will share.
